I recently sat down with the Irish Examiner to reflect on my journey as a community midwife and the incredible evolution of community midwifery services over the past 25 years with the Coombe Hospital.

From supporting families through pregnancy and the postnatal period, to experiencing memorable moments like travelling with the army during the 2018 snowstorms to reach new mothers and babies, it has truly been a rewarding and meaningful career.

One of the greatest privileges of this work has been the continuity of care and the relationships built with families throughout such an important stage of life.
